The University of Applied Arts places a great deal of importance on the external presentation and the public resonance of its artistic, academic, and political activities. Through exhibitions, symposia, discussion rounds on topical themes in society, and other events, it refines the university’s profile as a site where not only artistic practice is taught, but also where the results are made accessible to interested audiences. The Public Relations and Event Management area assumes this communicative role in the organisation, realisation, and evaluation of events. By arranging collaborations with national and international cultural institutions the department models the interface between the academic institution and economy.
