TransArts exhibit at Vienna Contemporary 2020

This year’s Angewandte booth presents works by TransArts students of the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
The works were selected by curator Victoria Dejaco. The TransArts department aims to support students in their individual interests under crossand interdisciplinary perspectives to enable them to realise their full artistic, technical and theoretical potential.
The works on display create an aesthetically coherent interplay while at the same time revealing the artists’ different medial and contextual approaches: from sound and video installations (Roberta Lazo Valenzuela) to furniture design (Jürgen Mürzer) and minimal art (Luka Savice), from ceramics (Chin Tsao) and performative approaches (Lola Pfeiffer) to different sculptural practices (Luize Nezberte, Sophia Latysheva) or the confrontation with questions of physics (Marlene Lahmer).
In 2020, the TransArts class celebrates its 10th anniversary. More about the department at www.transarts.at
