To mark the return of parliamentary business to the renovated
Austrian parliament building, this book documents an artistic and photographic examination of parliamentary processes, and
of parliament as a stage and a core institution of the democratic system.
Employees of the Parliamentary Administration,
the ministries, and others tested the various processes according to a script. In this cooperative project, students from
the University of Applied Arts Vienna created numerous works of art in the building that interrogate and reconsider social
orders in a performative manner.
