action, culture is gaining recognition as a key player in sustainability. We’re thrilled to have Morien Rees, Chair of the
ICOM International Committee for Museum and Sustainable Development, delivering a keynote titled "ICOM and a Just Transition
to a Sustainable Future. Toward 2030 and Beyond." He’ll dive into how culture plays a vital role in the global push for sustainability.
Rees will share how ICOM is leading the charge in making museums and culture part of the UN's Agenda 2030 for Sustainable
Development. Plus, he’ll highlight an inspiring exhibition of Sámi artist Britta Marakatt-Labba at the Norwegian National
Museum, showing how indigenous perspectives on climate and environment are shaping the future of museums and sustainability.
Following the keynote, join us for a dynamic discussion featuring Morien Rees, Eric Ponthieu, Ph.D (Adjunct professor of
Bologna Universities and Florence Universities, Strategy Director of Fair Trade Advocacy Office), Paddy Dillon (Founder of
the Theatre Green Book & Director of Renew Culture), and Lisa Burger (Co-Founder of the Theatre Green Book & Director
of Renew Culture). This panel will delve into how culture and the arts can accelerate climate action and drive global sustainability.
