Housing
The University of Applied Arts Vienna does not have a cooperation with any of the student halls and itself does not offer
any housing for students.
Housing options
Among others the following organisations offer information regarding housing for students:

Do not forget to complete the mandatory residence registration of your current residence at one of the Municipal District
Offices (within three days).
Insurance
Health insurance
All regular students who are not insured or co-insured have the option to register with the Österreichische Gesundheitskasse (in German language) insurance fund. Under certain circumstances this is also possible for non-degree students.
Other insurance options for international students are:
Students' Union accident and liability insurance
The students' union fee that is required to be paid for every degree- as well as non-degree programme also includes accident
and liability insurance at the Generali insurance company. This covers all accidents and damages that happen in the context
of your studies (e.g. damages at the university, accidents during USI sport courses or in student halls). This is insurance

Broadcasting licence fee, hard- and software
Exemption from broadcasting licence fee
In the case of a difficult income situation you can apply for exemption from broadcasting licence fees or for subsidies of
telephone licence fees. An exemption check-list (information about general requirements, entitlements as well as the necessary
proof of eligibility, etc.) as well as a list of telephone providers can be found at https://www.gis.at/english.

Semester ticket for Wiener Linien
Degree programme students below the age of 26 can use the semester ticket of Wiener Linien for all underground, tram, and bus lines (except certain express bus lines) as
well as ÖBB trains (e.g. "Schnellbahn") and "Wiener Lokalbahnen" (as far as "Vösendorf-Siebenhirten") within the central zone ("Kernzone") of Vienna.
The semester ticket is valid for five months: in the winter semester from 1 September until 31 January, in the summer semester from 1 February until 30 June. For the
months from July to August students can get a one month holiday ticket ("Ferienmonatskarte").
