If you have questions regarding the recognition (“Anrechnung”) of credits, advance rulings for exchange programs, or leaves
of absence, you may address them to Kurt Wallner (anerkennungen@uni-ak.ac.at). In addition, Kurt Wallner is available in person every Wednesday from 10:00 to 16:00 for consultations.
For applications for recognition of examinations, please use the “Antrag auf Anerkennung von Prüfungen” form in the right-hand
column. Applications may be submitted in paper form (no original documents) or via email (anerkennungen@uni-ak.ac.at and studiendekan@uni-ak.ac.at).
An application for recognition of examinations is considered complete if it includes at minimum:
                                          - a complete and duly signed application form (downloadable in the right column), containing all required entries, i.e. fields of study that constitute applicable targets for recognition within the applicant’s curriculum,
- a valid certificate (collective or individual transcript, or Transcript of Records) for all examinations to be recognized,
- descriptions, content outlines or sources of the relevant courses, or confirmations from professional experience,
- and, if applicable, a previously issued advance ruling.
Incomplete applications for recognition will be rejected.
Processing of applications is done in the order they are received and may take some time. Expedited procedures or reordering
of the queue are not possible, since nearly all applications are submitted as urgent. The processing period provided for in
UG § 78 paragraph 4 is two months - however, this is usually undercut.
Once credits are added through a recognition process, they cannot be moved anymore, i.e. recognized ECTS cannot be moved to other fields of study within your curriculum!
