UNTITLED | UNTITLED

Judith P. Fischer is a lecturer at the Institute of Art and Technology, Department of Life Drawing

Do we need a title to grasp the content/message of a work? To what extent does the title help us "get into" the work? Especially in reduction, abstraction, and minimal art, a compelling title is often needed to understand the work.
The different approaches to the subject in terms of technique and material, the connections between the artists, and the insight and perspective into new dimensions of art are intended to promote dialogue and discussion in the exhibition and, in doing so, also answer the question of the necessity of a title. Judith P. Fischer (Exhibition Curator)
