Are you developing an
innovative game, working on a creative XR application, exploring new approaches with AI or blockchain, or designing digital
formats that engage and inspire audiences? With the Content Vienna competition, the Vienna Business Agency supports your ideas.
Five digital projects in development will be awarded, each receiving a €10,000 production grant. In addition,
a €10,000 special prize for “Digital Design for Health” will be awarded this year in cooperation with the Open Innovation
in Science Center of the Ludwig Boltzmann Society (LBG OIS Center), focusing on digital projects in the healthcare sector.
There
are also special prizes for participation in South by Southwest 2027, in cooperation with WKO Außenwirtschaft – Creative Industries.
Awarded projects led by women receive an additional bonus of €1,000.
What can be submitted?
Projects
currently in development, including prototypes, demos, and concepts in the following areas:
- Games: digital games
and playful media
- Augmented, extended, and virtual reality
- Animation, visual effects, 360° video
- Digital
Design for Health (creative digital projects related to healthcare)
- Interactive storytelling formats
- Web and
mobile applications (including blockchain/Web3)
- Platforms for digital content publishing and distribution
- Serial
online content
- Digital applications for wearable technology
- Machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Quantum
computing (e.g., visualization of quantum phenomena)
Who can apply?
The
competition is open to developers, studios, startups, companies, associations, and individuals implementing creative digital
projects.
Eligibility criteria:
- Residence, registered office, or business location in Vienna
- The
project is primarily developed or implemented in Vienna
- Vienna is a key thematic or creative reference point of the
project
