The interplay of Neuroscience and AI

An event by the Department of Experimental Game Cultures
Why do humans and other animals move their eyes? Starting from this simple but profound question, this talk explores the intersection between the neuroscience of eye movements and apractical application: detecting and predicting human drowsiness using an AI-assisted
smartphone app.

Yutaka Hirata a professor of AI and robotics at the College of Science and Engineering, as well as director of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences and AI at Chubu University.
