SHOW ANGEWANDTE 18
Experiment with New Format of the Show on 5 June 2018

The Show Angewandte 18 – the annual fashion show of the graduates and students of the fashion design class at the University of Applied Arts Vienna – under the direction of Hussein Chalayan takes place on Tuesday, 5 June 2018, at a newly renovated former bread factory, the Expedithalle, in Vienna-Favoriten. This year the show will experiment with the format of a fashion show. The creations of the graduates and students will be staged on islands distributed in the room, the audience will move freely in between and in this way create its own show.

Awards & Scholarship
Within the framework of the Show Angewandte 18 there will be announced the following awards and scholarship: The Rondo Fashion Award with friendly promotion of Wien Mitte The Mall endowed with Euro 3000,- and the publishing of the winning collection at “Der Standard Rondo”. The Indie Magazine Award, which contains the publishing of the winning collection, and the Fred Adlmüller Scholarship which is endowed with Euro 3000,- .

International Jury
The works of the five graduates are not only to be staged at the Show Angewandte 18 but also going to be evaluated by a high profile jury. This gives the graduates the possibility of feed back and judgement on their work by high profile experts. The members of the Jury 2018 are: Alvise Bullo, Junior Research Manager Creative Talent of the LVMH Fashion Group, Max Clark, fashion editor of i-D Magazine, Alexander Fury, journalist, author and editor of AnOther Magazine and Millie de La Velette, talent acquisition manager of Louis Vuitton.

2 Equivalent Shows & Live Stream
Because of the high interest of the public there will be two equivalent shows on the 5^th of June: at 6.30 pm and at 8.30 pm. This will give more people the chance to see the show. And there is also going to be a live stream of the show at 8.30 pm. For the students of Austria’s only school that offers training in fashion with a University degree the annual fashion show is the veritable highlight of the academic year. The Show Angewandte attracts a great amount of public interest and has gained a high reputation within the past years.
