Artist Lecture Series Vienna with Sophie Thun

Sophie Thun has been the head of the photography department at the University of Applied Arts Vienna since 2026. As an artist, she works primarily with techniques of analogue photography, its spaces, processes as well as conditions of production and exhibition.

She has worked extensively with the archives of Zenta Dzividzinska and Ulay, with the collection of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, and with the oeuvre of Irina Codreanu (Irène Codreano).

The presentation will be held in English. A new publication by Sophie Thun will be presented during the lecture.
