Kolodium
Glass works at the intersection of traditional craft and contemporary art. Our studio is built around preserving techniques
like kiln casting and glass grinding while supporting artistic experimentation.
We also
combine glassmaking with historical photographic processes (wet collodion), which creates an unusual environment for creative
exploration.
Residency Programmes- Glass Casting Technique Residency (4-7 weeks) – An intensive,
hands-on program where participants create a kiln-cast glass sculpture from start to finish – clay model, mold making, firing,
coldworking, and polishing.
- Flexible Artist Residency – Open studio access for independent projects, duration arranged
individually.
- Wet Collodion Process Residency – An opportunity to learn historical photography on glass plates with
Darkroom and studio access.
What to expect- Access to medium and large casting
kilns, large fusing kiln, and fully equipped coldworking studio (grinding, polishing, sandblasting)

applyArtists at all levels are welcome – from complete beginners to experienced glassmakers – and provide both
