Kolodium Glass: Artist Residency in Prague

Due date: 31. March 2026
Kolodium Glass works at the intersection of traditional craft and contemporary art. Our studio is built around preserving techniques like kiln casting and glass grinding while supporting artistic experimentation.
We also combine glassmaking with historical photographic processes (wet collodion), which creates an unusual environment for creative exploration.

Residency Programmes
  • Glass Casting Technique Residency (4-7 weeks) – An intensive, hands-on program where participants create a kiln-cast glass sculpture from start to finish – clay model, mold making, firing, coldworking, and polishing.
  • Flexible Artist Residency – Open studio access for independent projects, duration arranged individually.
  • Wet Collodion Process Residency – An opportunity to learn historical photography on glass plates with Darkroom and studio access.

What to expect
  • Access to medium and large casting kilns, large fusing kiln, and fully equipped coldworking studio (grinding, polishing, sandblasting)
  • Full technical mentorship throughout the process
  • Materials and supplies
  • Help finding local accommodation
  • Professional photo documentation of finished work
  • A completed sculpture to take home
