At Design Investigations (Industrial Design 2) at the University of Applied Arts our students are already exploring and developing ways in which technology, craft and ingenuity can catalyse meaningful change.

Today, we are delighted to share their work with you in the form of a new book ‘AFTER ABUNDANCE: A SPECULATION ON CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE ALPS’. The book will be launched at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz 2, 1010 Wien on Wednesday 26 June at 5pm.

After Abundance is the culmination of a project originally presented by Design Investigations as Austria’s official entry to the London Design Biennale 2018. The book, edited by Univ. Prof. Anab Jain and Thomas Geisler, presents a refreshing, and rigorous insight into how young designers can play a critical role in making the abstraction of climate change more visceral, and actionable.
