The Martydom of Saint Rufina

The Martydom of Saint Rufina is a play concerning the collaborative production of a Lombard Baroque artwork known as ‘the painting by three hands’, which will be performed at the University Gallery of the Angewandte (Refektorium).
Completed in the early 17th century by Giovanni Battista Crespi, Il Morazzone, and Giulio Cesare Procaccini, the painting is characterized by its use of chiaroscuro—the modulation of light and shadow—and the interplay of three distinct artistic approaches within a single composition.

The play was written and directed by Camille Clair and stars Etienne Le Coquil, Tristan Hickey, and Emre Özakat, with music by Nava Hemyari and costumes by Anna Ammerer.
