Transcultural Competence Workshop – How to connect & work with each other coming from different lived experiences
Tuesday, 21 October 2025, 10 am - 6 pm
How do we navigate relationships when we come from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences? In university settings, as in
the broader world, developing the ability to communicate and collaborate across differences is essential.
This interactive workshop introduces key models for understanding cultural patterns and offers practical tools for recognizing
values, identifying communication styles, and addressing unconscious bias in day-to-day interactions. Participants will have
the opportunity to reflect on their own background and explore how it influences the way they engage with others. Using real-life
examples and peer discussion, they will also share experiences and practice concrete strategies for navigating differences
in an inclusive and respectful way.
